Hi guys,

So counting down to my trip in 2 weeks - haven't been skiing for a while and apparently there are now quite a few iphone apps that are pretty useful for skiing. Just wondered whether anyone had any recommendations? A friend mentioned that Val d'Isere had their own guide, as well as a snow forecast one, and she also said that the Ski Tips series had been quite useful for her husband who hadn't been skiing for a while. Has anyone used any of these, as would be quite good to hear some opinions before I buy/download?

Thanks :-)

A lot of our party used 'Ski Tracks' this year. The free version has a lot of features. I paid the 69p for the full version though. Had more options including uploading your data to Facebook.

It was good on battery and it switches itself off when it reaches a battery percentage determined by you.

I've downloaded quite a few piste map apps over the last few years. They've all been useless really. I now stick to the paper version.

The 'Ski School' apps are ok for beginners, early intermediates. Nice, concise videos that give you a quick reminder.

The L2A app had some good info and webcams but I didn't really use it once I had arrived in resort. More for research before we went.

Mekka is right re the L2A app - great fun before you go, but I didn't use it once I was in resort.
