Folks,

Colleague at work has just told me he has got flights into Zurich for 22nd of February, but has no idea where to go too next. 3 of them, looking for somewhere 60-90 mins travelling by train.

I haven't flown into Zurich before, so I can't help! Any recommendations?

Thanks
Rebel

Here you go...

Snow reports for 127 ski resorts near Zurich

If your friend fancies driving - you can click in the table header (where it says "Txfr Time") to sort them in order of transfer time. 8)

We'll be adding details to indicate resorts accessible by train in the next couple of weeks.

Enjoy...

The closest of the popular resorts would be Engelberg. But if they are taking the train it will be still 2 hours journey as they need to change trains in Luzerne. Or, they can try either Davos or Klosters, they are about 2.5 hours away.

Thanks guys, very much appreciated. I'll pass the list on!

He said he wanted somewhere under an hour and a half by train! Fat chance of that now!

Only 1 place Engelberg, nice train journey (get some roasted chestnuts at Luzerne station). Superb resort!

Not bad - the chalet at the bottom of the cable car is a good and noisy place to start with a beer or two; the Yucatan's happy hour is something to behold -almost Austrian apres-ski in style - and the best value in town. The bar in the Hoheneck often has a live music act but avoid if they're featuring Swiss musician Baum - a bloody awful din.
