Situated on a sunny terrace in Lens overlooking the Rhône Valley, the 4-star B&B Chalet des Alpes is just a 5-minute walk from centre of this little village. It offers free Wi-Fi and free parking. It takes you only a 10-minute drive to reach the centre and the ski area of Crans Montana. Walking and mountain bike paths start right from the front door of the family-run Chalet des Alpes. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom, a flat-screen TV with DVD, an alarm clock radio with IPod dock and complimentary tea/coffee making facilities. They all offer panoramic mountain views. Evening meals are available most nights but need to be ordered in advance. There is a panoramic dining area with a comfortable guest lounge and open fire in winter, as well as a large sunny terrace. In summer you can swim in crystal-clear lakes or take the lift up to the Plaine Morte Glacier at 3000 metres. There are indoor and outdoor pools and wellness facilities nearby in Crans Montana. Zermatt, Lake Geneva and Gruyeres area easily reachable from the Chalet des Alpes.
