Enzian - Description

Saas Almagell is a small but cosy holiday village that lies at a height of 1,672 metres. There are several restaurants and shops around the small but cosy village centre. Along the Saasper Vispa to Saas Balen there is a lovely walking route that is very suitable for less experienced walkers. For greater challenges, you can go to Saas Fee. Here you can summer ski (usually, around 15 km of slopes are open), mountain bike, hang glide, climb mountains, walk and you can also try out the summer toboggan run. When driving on from Saas Almagell, you come to a large reservoir that has many walking routes; you can even walk to Italy from here! Haus Enzian stands in the middle of the village and offers three nicely furnished holiday homes on the first, second and third floor. There is a brook behind the house and a sheltered garden and parking facility.

New from summer 2012, there is an electronic guest card which gives you free access to all cable cars in the Saas Valley, Metro Alpin and the bus lines. It is obligatory to buy this guest card and valid for the summer. You can explore the entire walking area of the Saas Valley. From winter 2012 you will get a 10% discount on ski passes with this card (from 6 days) and children up to 9 years of age can ski for free.
