British Ski School are brill - I've used them once in Chamonix and twice in Les Gets for me in private lessons and my now 11 year old in a group. Can't fault them - I had a really bad experience with ESF in Chamonix years ago and lost loads of confidence. An hour with BASS sorted that out.

Yep, Avoriaz is a disgrace, I used to shut my eyes when passing through absolutly awful place ... we never stopped for drink

Its all about the skiing though. Mind you, I prefer more traditional places tbh.
I didnt dig Val Thorens at all, not dissimilar I believe, visually.

The skiings great .... but how people can stay in those high rise buildings I'll never know, I do like ski in/out but I think I would rather take the bus and stay lower down.
You can't beat a chocolate box picture when you look out of the window.

That's why I love St Anton so much, it's so beautiful.
