Quick one as am exhausted having been up since 5.15am but my enthusiasm and love of being back yesterday resulted in me going too hard and the metal and screws in my leg were pretty aggravated today. Had to take a pain killer which i hate doing as believe you need to listen to your body and understand what it is telling you. Consequently didn't ski hard today just did 10 runs of basic drills and foundation work - which was actually very needed and super helpful.

Hope you are all well

That's pretty tough, Chemmy,I guess few have of us have had your share of steel additives, and still ski at all, let alone at a high level!

I too avoid painkillers ~ but in the winter I mainline on Ibruprofen!

Come back gradually......

Have seen what that is like Chemmy, by brother has broken his leg twice now, 1st resulting in a plate and screws just a few inched below his knee, and the second meant he had to have a titanium rod inserted into the bone above the knee.

Every so often, it causes him quite a bit of grief too. But he perseveres and still enjoys his skiing

Hope your pain does not last too long, try sticking your leg in a snow drift for a bit, that should help numb it for you

Do you know the calorific value of Ibuprofen Dave?
I wonder if this is the reason for the general expansion I am finding?
