Glad to here your still in one piece Tino. Was a bit chilly today wasn't it, I had to wear two hats! If I were you I'd send the remaining bits back to the manufacture together with a letter starting, 'Dear Sir, imagine my surprise…….' Then I would write another letter - 'Dear Father Christmas, please could you bring me some new bindings for my snowboard'. Over the years I've had quite a lot of success with the first letter but sadly much less with the second one :(.

I skied in Saas-Fee on the 26th April last season and it was still possible to ski down to the resort. The bottom section (below Morenia 2550m) was slushy, but above there the snow was fine. Only the Plattjen sector was closed. http://ski3.intermaps.com/saastal/skimap.asp?map=Saasfee

The weekend of the 18th will certainly be busy, but by Monday all the snowboarders will have gone back to Zürich.

This tutorial http://www.jonsskituning.co.uk/content/view/35/50/ might be of use, if want to move the bindings further forward.

Flims Laax Falera might be worth considering http://www.laax.com/en/#/en/home 2½ hours by train / bus from Zürich airport, 220km of mainly long wide intermediate runs. Don't be put off by the unfortunate (for English-speakers) local name for 'peak', which is 'crap'. There's a video review here: http://www.powdertravel.com/review%20Flims%20Laax%20Falera.htm

Hansjürg Kessler has a patent on his skis and snow boards, US2009273161 (A1) you can down load it from here: http://v3.espacenet.com/publicationDetails/biblio?DB=EPODOC&adjacent=true&locale=en_EP&FT=D&date=20091105&CC=US&NR=2009273161A1&KC=A1 so there may well be a patent issue.
My experience of the Palmer P02 is much the same as yours. I managed to dial out the lag by optimising my fore/aft balance. The bindings supplied with mine (Tyrolia LD 12 Cybers) have a 9mm delta, when I reduced this I found that the lag disappeared. You might this video, it features Hansjürg and Bode Miller talking about the skis he tested 6 pairs in 2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMjcTzri_g0 |
