I've fixed the link in my previous post.
I have the Freeflex Plus 14 from 07/08 (this is their 4th season) I've had no problems with them as yet. Nearer to home Ski Bartlett have some Fisher FR11 &17s they are the same as the Freeflex Pluses http://www.skibartlett.com/ski-bindings-312-c.asp If you want to assess your balance before deciding you could try this method http://custom-bootfitting.southernski.com/out-of-balance.html using shims to simulate the delta, you could also make a balance board as shown on page 214 of this book http://tinyurl.com/6xsdgsy If you need any screws, lifter plates etc. there's a spares catalogue here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/51907745/08-09-Tyrolia-Head-Spare-Parts-EN-DE |

Alistair, your best bet would be to get something from Germany this shop http://www.sportprofi.de/Ski-Alpin/Skibindungen/Ski-Alpin-Bindungen-Z10 has the SL 110 Carve ABS in silver for 99.95 euro and this one http://www.besttrade-deutschland.de/index.php?cat=c1383_Head-Bindings.html has a large selection of Head / Tyrolia bindings all with 25% off. They are introducing all new line of bindings next year so there may be further discounts. You could also try ebay.de, I bought a brand new pair of Fisher X14s during the summer for 50 euro.
This article on balance and alignment might be worth reading before you decide which binding to buy http://hvst.org/files/Balance_-_Proper_Boot_Alignment_web_.pdf Bandit, there are some i.e. the Mojo / Peak 7, 11 and 12 that have a delta of 9mm, scary! For some reason in 2008/09, when they updated the range they decided to increase the delta on the most of the mid range models in the Freeflex and Mojo ranges from 3.5mm to 7mm and 9mm respectively. Trencher, interesting that you also had to reduce the delta in your case I'm guessing it was to 2mm. I mounted my P02s with a 2007/08 Freeflex Plus 14 / 3.5mm delta after a bit of testing I found that a 3mm lift worked best(I'm a lot smaller than you are) I also found that the range in which I was optimally balanced was incredibly small, less than 1mm. It would be interesting to talk to Kessler about this as all the Phantoms I've seen have either been mounted with either SP rental bindings (5mm delta) or Power 11s with 3mm and the P02s now seem to be sold with Freeflex Pros most of which have 7mm. |

Its not going to be easy to find a pair of these in the UK especially in black, they were discontinued after only 1 season (08/09). It's very much a low end binding, aimed at beginners / low intermediates. The toe piece has very little elastic travel, the heal piece is a simple up an out one rather than the diagonal release one used on the better models and it also has a substantial 7mm delta. Your not seriously thinking of mounting them on a pair of Phantoms are you?

Getting ski boots to fit properly can in involve a far bit of "faffing" a couple of further visits to the shop for tweaking are often necessary. Too tight is better than too loose as a boot can always be made a bit bigger by either grinding a bit more space out or heating and stretching the plastic. As they are guaranteed to fit http://www.snowandrock.com/terms-and-conditions/content/fcp-content I would take them back to S&R.
As far as I know there are only two boot fitters in the UK (considering the size of the market this compares very favourably with the rest of Europe) who have the expertise and equipment to tackle almost any boot fitting problem Solutions 4 Feet in Bicester as mentioned by Bandit and Profeet in London http://www.profeet.co.uk/skiing/1d-analysis/ Thanks for the compliment Scapula but sadly I'm just an ordinary skier who is difficult to fit, mainly because the design work for ski boots is carried out at size 26/26.5 (there are no true half sizes) and I take a size 23. |

The Atomic Tech Manual might help http://www.salomoncertification.com/manuals/2010-2011%20Atomic%20Tech%20Manual.pdf

There is no accommodation at Sunnegga itself, however there are chalets and apartments to rent just below it in Findeln. These probably won't be of much use as it's a 15-20 min walk up to the Wolli Park.
There is another children's area directly behind the Hotel Riffelberg http://www.riffelberg.ch/en/hotel-riffelberg/ in the Gonergrat sector, bear in mind that it is at 2600m and not everyone sleeps well at that altitude. |

If money was really no object it would have to be the DPS Wailer 112RP Pure with Binding Freedom SollyFit Swap Plates so I could mount either a pair of Salomon s914s or the new Plum touring bindings.
Most Vist skis are rebranded Blossom skis http://www.blossomski.com/ they make extremely good skis which are sold under a number of brand names. They have a factory shop in Chiavenna (down the road from Madesimo) which is worth a visit. |

Don't let the cat anywhere near your ski boots. Cat piss and ski boot liners are a very unpleasant combination!
