Hi Ally

Glad to hear you had a great trip.
Shame about the train's and a bomb scare OMG!!

How exciting for you to learn to ski the Mongols.
They are a lot of fun.
And skiing powder snow is hard work to.

I'm so sorry to here about your toe.
I wonder what it is with big toes and holidays.
Any way I won't go there long story.
At first I thought maybe you might have gout.
But with all the pus I dosent sound like that.
I hope you toe and foot gets better soon.

With you ski boots I don't know why everyone is telling you to bye your own.
I mean sure if you are going to go ski every year it might cost you less as you wouldn't have to rent every year.
I rent all the time and never have a problem.

I like to have lessons as well. Like yourself it is so nice to meet other ski junkies from other parts of the world and to have a bit of fun and learn of the instructor and each other and have a giggle.
It's a shame that you had a stick in the mud instructor.

Thanks for telling us you travel story :-) :-)

Ski jobs in New Zealand

Hi

Well as im from Perth in OZ I have never bought a season pass
Only day passes but they are all around the same cost anyway.

I have skied all the best south island resorts.
And if you want a job the smallest resort is remarkable
But the down side is if you're a fast skier/border your spend more
Time on the lifts than the snow
It takes 45 min to top from q/town. If you get a job there your get it for free

Cornett peak is concrete pit
Skiing is not bad but such hard snow good and café
Great night skinning with hot chocolate camp fire and DJ.

The best resort is if you intermatete-avanced is cordrona
Treble cone is great more advanced runs and smaller than cordrona
Treble cone has a breath taking view as well must see.

Did not ski Mt Hutt but herd great things about it and it gets the most snow fall
Out of all of them

Tony_H wrote:For you diet experts, how good/bad is my diet:

Breakfast - fruit juice and cereal, usually corn flakes with milk, sometimes hot

Lunch - mixed rocket salad with ham and cheese, orange peppers, thousand island dressing OR a bowl of soup OR a tin of Heinz Ravioli

Dinner - white meat with jacket potatoes and mixed salad OR beef stew and mashed potatoes OR sometimes chicken fajitas with salad OR pasta (lagange or tuna pasta and red onions).

I have managed to stabilise at a certain weight, but no matter what I do I cannot go any lower on the above diet.

Not Bad Tony

Too much pasta and potatoes add a bit more different kinds of cooked vegies to you diet at dinner time. beef stew is not too bad your got alot of cooked vegies in that but make sure thay are lean cuts.
Im no expert but that what I think :)
Everything in moderation

What are pump classes? And what were you doing on a kids motorbike?

Karen,
I'm sure you can stick at the dieting, you've come such a long way already, and I bet you're enjoying being able to wear your 'smaller' clothes :D

I'm looking forward to the photo in 6 months time.

Ally
