Huard wrote:The one thing we're all passing by is Peter has only been a couple of times before. So it's safe to assume he's going to be skiing on-piste for a while so he's better to learn on a shorter ski!
Therefor the xwings will do him nicely for a god few trips on-piste!

Have Lessons with a French teacher Peter as they are more inclined to teach you to let the skis run, opposed to a British teacher who will teach you to carve the edges more. You'll get more out of the xwings if you let them run.

I'm 6' and 14.5 stone and started on 150's I've now sold my xwing 170's due to an ACL accident and I'm intending to return on 160's

Take your xwings and try them.....If you dont like them try and partx them at your resort or just hire a pair and sell them when you get back to blighty

Enjoy

Thanks Huard for advice .
This time next week im going to be in Soll . Got a week of ski school booked . I guess the best thing is to just take them and just see how they perform on the slopes . Can any body tell me if i am better off getting my euro's while i am there ?

Thanks

Peter

Thanks that helped, Low speeds definitely i can appreciate that when traveling at relatively slow speed there is not the pressure applied that is there when going much quicker. As for the boots they are salomon CF mission if that helps , Bought from the same shop that GF bought they skis from

Thanks

Thanks for your input Davemac, but WTF not sure which side of the fence you're sitting on! Having only skied for 2 weeks in my life as you can appreciate all the technical jargon is beyond me. But i do appreciate your time.
Andymol 2 the GF is history, although i did consider only for a moment though giving her the skis back when we parted. But very quickly came to my senses (free skis wahey) :D
And finally to Bandit. Not got an Ebay account. Do you think that's the best place for them? :(

Ta very much,
Peter.
