I fondly remember DV 10 years ago...
Just booked an appointment with S4F. Thanks
Hello all, I am due to go skiing in Courchevel for the first week in April and fully expect to have severe foot pain - this post is seeking advice on where and how I can minimise the foot pain before I sadly and very regretfully have to consider giving up the sport... :0(

I am an intermediate / advanced skier, physically fit but overweight (weekend rugby player).

A number of seasons ago, Lockwoods in Leamington Spa diagnosed my foot pain as having a "forefoot varus" in both feet and advised an anatomic insole, a pair of custom molded Salomon boots (Crossmax 10) and Zipfit inners.

For a variety of reasons, I got the insole created by a third party unrelated to Lockwoods (by an NHS foot surgeon) and although it was clearly a good insole, I'm not sure it was very compatible with the boot. When I went skiiing, I suffered enourmous pain again.

So I am looking at going back to Lockwoods or Solutions 4 feet and getting another fitting done. I am prepared to start from scratch or reuse bits of my existing kit, e.g., new insole and inners with the old shell.

I supect that Lockwoods and S4F are equally competant, but does anybody have any recommendations on what I should do, where I should go and / or alternatives?

Many thanks Sasha
