Footwear in the evenings

in my experience, travel to and from resort in those previously mentioned nrth face type water proof boots (or even better buy the Decathlon own brand version just as good at half the price) then pack your trainers as you will need them incase you go clubbing in the evening.

Where do i start?

My unauthorised tip, is to start doing your squats and other ski related exercises which can be found on this site or check out welove2ski.com for other tips .
By doing these, you will have a chance to start conditioning your muscles to start working in a way you may not have used for a long time.
It does require that bit of extra pre trip effort, but the ultimate pay off will be that it will just make it a much less painful intro to skiing and a much more enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Have a fantastic ski and be patient with the frustrating learning process because if you find a passion for it you'll develop the skills soon enough.
Energy bars/snacks

Dear All

Wow I must say many thanks to all contributors with your incredible assortment of various recommendations.

All of which has made me very thirsty.

Now just to mix things up a bit. What if I leave the apartment in the morning already having taken a dissolved multi vit tab in water. Is it still advisable to have more glucose ?

And the next big question is what is the ideal lunch which will allow you still to be fit for skiing ?

Kind regards

Energy bars/snacks

I have read that suitable snacks during the day should ideally consist of energy/ cereal bars and or dried fruit, due to their slow energy release properties in between meals.

On my recent visit to the local health food shop, there was a bewildering and vast array of such bars ranging from about 99p to around £2.50 this seems ludicrous !
Now I would very much appreciate any input from all people as to what you'd recommend as a value for money similar snack or sustenace.
With these prices I'm tempted just to have a pint of lager instead.

Brand new to this and very interested in your stories. I would be fascinated to know more about how to apply for a 2 week all paid ski evaluation project.
