How long do you think you'll keep skiing?

I plan to ski on my 100th birthday (planning a long way ahead before anyone starts... )

Well adders, I plan to ski till the Lord says otherwise 8)

As a natural athlete I feel I will be skiing till at least next year and then possible the year after and then I will take up Cross country skiing with Brooksy .......

Being told you have athletes foot does not mean you're a natural athlete, if you catch me doing cross country it will mean we are both in Elysium

I was orginally think cervinia but as we have already been to Sestriere/Milyway we thought we would try another country..As we are all 40-48 we dont know how many years we have got left in us

You have plenty of years left

My left knee would disagree..But if it comes to that i'll take my £9.99 sledge

I have dodgy knee's and I am trying very hard this summer to strengthen
them a bit of cycling and some exercise hopefully I will get a few more years out of them, as sixty is not too far away for me

40-48, I didn't start skiing till I was 49 & have done 19 trips & am now 66.I have 2 trips booked for next season & my left knee MCL was torn 3 yrs ago, but still able to ski on 11 months later.

From my experience you could have another 20 yrs :)

Yep agree with all that brooksy, I aim to ski as long as I can but 66 mate thats really old

You're not wrong Wickers, I use walking sticks instead of poles now & they have to stop the lifts to get me on & off, but the incontinence pants cushion the impact when falling over, so mustn't grumble -)

Just finished skiing for the day, been here for the last 2 weeks, which makes 11 weeks this season, just had another dump of 40cms overnight/today and here for another 7 days so I don't think I will be needing any evening classes just yet, thanks for the suggestion though.

PS I note that you have made 9480 posts to this forum, ever thought about taking up skiing to pass the time?

Fantastic ...... you do have a sense of humour

Ps 9481 now

When you're not posting on here Wickers remember you're still welcome to come on the J2 ski trip. -)
