Ski Resort in/around The Alps

£500 per person is a pretty low budget for the Easter holidays, to include everything like lift passes. I should think you'd have to go self-catering to achieve that.
Have you tried http://www.rocketski.com they often have cheap holidays that might suit you.

I've booked another twin room in the Gran Baita hotel in Folgarida for the group, so Davidsa2 is welcome to come with us :)

And Ian W has checked there is room in the mini-bus taxi for him, if he wants to use it :)

Thanks Ian - that webcam photo looks great :)

We now have 19 people booked to come on this trip to Folgarida with us, on Sunday 2nd February. The new lady is a lower intermediate level skier, having done 2 ski holidays before, and she will be having lessons.

So we will have 2 lower intermediate level skiers, 3 boarders, and the rest of us would be classed as upper intermediate/advanced skiers.

Total beginners are also welcome to come with us if they would like to. Last year we had 2 beginners with us in Tignes, and one of them is returning as a lower intermediate level skier, having made great progress last year :)

I would definitely agree with this one! I broke my shoulder on a dry ski slope 2 weeks before a ski holiday, and had to spend the holiday walking about the resort with my arm in a sling :(

These days I leave at least 6 weeks between going in a snow dome/going on a mini-ski holiday and my main ski holiday, just in case!

I am usually in group lessons, so I do whatever the instructor asks us to do.
This is usually exercises on blue runs, like ski-ing on one leg, doing slow tight turns etc.
I think myself one of the reasons for this is so that the instructor can gauge the ability of the group, before he takes us down a black run.

And I usually ski very carefully to begin with, until I've got used to my hired skis and remembered how to ski!
