I can't remember how I learned about "the rules", but presumably it was in lessons. To me though, a lot of it, is just common sense and common courtesy.

I know, you have no idea how excited I was when I found them. The only spyder jacket and the only pair of salopettes in the store, both matching and in my size..........I really didn't need them............but had to have them :D
I got (what I think), is a gorgeous spyder jacket and salopettes in TKMax before christmas. Even by TK standards, they were still pricey, but I wore them on holiday and loved them..............and I'm not fat or German!

I went to night classes for conversational French and another for conversational Spanish. I can usually understand what is being said, but I have great difficulty in putting together in proper grammar what I actually want to say. E.g. my daughter got ripped off at the toilet stop in Bourg and when I went back with her, I had a real struggle trying to put into words that they'd given her change of 10 instead of 20. Got there eventually but it wasn't easy. I'd love it just to flow......... :(

LM wrote:The one thing that I have noticed about boarders is ...they fall on their butts alot when they get off the chair  I am afraid to take the chair with my boarder buddies..they may take me out when we get off

Boarding does look like fun though.

They scare the h*** out of me getting off the lifts with them.........but has to be said, if I were a LOT younger..........I might be tempted to give it a go

You know you are seriously going to have to stop telling us all how wonderful it is out there..................because you might wake up one morning come that first snow, and find 30 + J2skiers arrive on your doorstep looking for free b+b

Was reading another thread and it made me think of this. My french is schoolgirl french...............and yes it's a long time since I was a schoolgirl. I did make my daughter laugh and nearly fall over when trying to speak in french. If I couldn't remember the french word, I improvised by saying it in English, with a french accent. She still takes the p*** out of me about it. Anyone else have any other probs trying to converse with the locals on their ski hols :D
