At least one of our regulars runs a chalet close to Salzburg - I'll give them a heads-up and hopefully they can help you out.

Not sure about the park, if that's your thing, but the Krippenstein arena (as featured in Warren Miller's film this year) is supposed to be a top freeride spot.

Not sure about your exact question but be sure the skis (and the insides of the tubes) are completely dry before storing, and that you then leave them somewhere totally dry - otherwise it's probably best to store the skis outside the tube to keep them from picking up condensation (and rusting the edges).

...good buy though - about the best protection your gear can get in transit, and the wheels make lugging them around an airport a complete doddle. :D
J2ski.com have teamed up with skiline.co.uk the webs favourite online ski only travel agent to bring you what is believed to be the UK cheapest ski holiday, prices start at just £89 per person and that includes the lift pass.

Click here to find out more :D

The holiday is a self-catered holiday in the Olympic ski resort of Chamrousse, which is located within 30km of Grenoble airport (serviced by BA and Easy Jet).

So if you're skiing to a budget (and who isn't) go bag one of these now!
Tough call... you can see South Korea being the "up and coming" choice, Salzburg the vote of the establishment and Russia getting a huge amount of "political" support...

It's going to be down to elimination and the bidders are likely to "lose" the vote through a lack of infrastructure and/or credible planning I guess.
Five things smart skiers do

Five more smart things to do...

6. Never ski alone when off-piste or out of bounds.

7. Carry a spare pair of gloves.

8. Stick a small bottle of water in your rucksack.

9. Always know the local avalanche risk.

10. Never blindly follow tracks off-piste (unless you're happy hucking 100ft cliffs).

Be safe, have more fun... 8)
We now have a small number of chalets, which can be booked online, listed from our Italian Ski Chalets page.

We hope to be adding more, with a live availability search, over the next few weeks... hope that's useful. 8)

Hi Sandy, you are welcome to include a link to your site in your signature (to make it clear that you are associated with it) provided that your site links to j2ski (and is ski-related, obviously).

Please keep your signature clean (2 lines max please folks) to avoid the forum looking too spammy. 8)

Thanks very much,

Unfortunately not in this case... but if anyone comes across a good source of historical snow-depth data then please let us know...

We have detailed records from early February 2006 onwards but don't currently have anything earlier than that.

Today we added 7-day snow forecasts for a bunch more resorts - so if you previously looked in vain for your favourite resort, try again now! We cover over 400 ski resorts now - more to come...
