I was always told that your skis should be mid way between your chin and bottom lip as a learner, progressivly getting longer as experience gets better , but no longer than top of your eyes. I'm 6 foot (well nearly) 179cms and like skis 163-169 preferring a bit shorter for better turning and as I am really old and don't go too fast so don't need longer stable blades. Thats the theory at least!! )

Feeling fine ...just done more champagne...then blackberry brandy.. now beer and prob finish watching footy(if its on) with a nice single malt...welcome 2012 :mrgreen:

Try the secret location of Serre Chevalier, lots to do ..briancion....higher=st town in France...walled and V interesting or.. the hot sauna baths at Montier etc . It is very good for those that do not want to ski all the time and is all linked by ski bus.

Returning to work is when you recover. Best recovering in someone elses time I feel. Just leave the slopes early one day and retire to a bar for a Vine Chaud or three )

Hi and welcome
Bulgaria is OK for beginners but is quite low and thus not snow sure. Having said that you should be OK in Feb. Once you really get the bug go to one of the main european resorts....say Passo Tonale as your first venture then try the big boys resorts. You will find lots of info on this forum. BUT enjoy!!! :lol: |
