It's amazing how a 'little' problem with the airlines can make a person change their mind :D

Where's the sock gone? Have you decided it was time to give it a wash? Will you be a long time washing it? I am very fond of that sock, I hope it will be back soon, and it didn't get lost in Geneva or somewhere. :D

I'm glad to hear you had a good 4 days ski-ing :D

But I do feel very bad at what happened to nearly everyone on the way out there, and I'm most especially worried about poor Sami from Glasgow :cry:

I am wondering if maybe we should start a special thread on how to avoid a break-up with one's OH during ski holidays :(

First we had poor Tino (just before his holiday), and now Sami.

I don't think you're really supposed to face down the mountain - more like face in the true direction in which you are travelling.

So that if you are doing wide shallow S shaped turns you'd probably face about 45 degrees (if you see what I mean), apart from the bit when you face down the fall line as you turn, and if you are traversing you'd be facing nearly 90 degrees from the fall line (i.e. facing across the slope) and if you're ski-ing in a very professional looking way (not me unfortunately) so that you're really ski-ing in a straight line downhill but your legs are just going from side to side, you'd face straight down the mountain.

The only problem is you might get a lot of people asking you to repair their boiler :lol:

You do look a bit like a heating engineer in the photo (but presumably not so in the flesh because engineers don't normally wear waterproof one piece suits).
