Well, it can't be my left leg, because I haven't fallen off my chair yet
Put your ski boots on then, I am sure it wont take long

I have less than 4 weeks to go now, and I'll be doing plenty of falling over - providing I can get fit enough for my slalom lessons. If I get to do it, I'll see if someone can video me falling over and I'll post it up on here when I get back.

Mind you, I fell over a couple of times last week in the snow, on our icy hills - but luckily I didn't hurt myself. It would be too ironic to fall over in the snow in the U.K. and be unable to ski in France.

And I will of course try to lesson my fear of speed when parallel ski-ing (the subject of the thread) while I'm zooming about in my slalom lessons :D

You mean you never fall over????

Pull the other leg

I am pulling it now for you. Not everyone falls over, Ally.

Hmmmm ... I can feel a slight twinge - that wouldn't be my left leg would it?

We went to the Manchester one, ChillFactore, and we didn't think it was any better than the one in Milton Keynes. It was okay, but nothing special. However, my daughter was very keen on the extremely large shopping centre across the road in Manchester!

I think you should wear sunglasses or goggles, to protect your eyes from damage.

I've just seen your comment on another thread, that you've done about 150 hours of ski-ing. That is about the same as me, because according to my reckoning that's about 5/6 weeks of ski holidays depending on how many hours you ski per day.

If you can ski the same as me you can't be that bad! :D :D

I am still having lessons because, as you can see, I have a lot to improve on!

Maybe you just need to be less hard on yourself, and take things a bit easier (as well as have some lessons of course). When I was breaking in my horse (many years ago now) a very useful phrase in the book I was reading said 'make haste slowly', and I think one could apply that to ski-ing as well as horse training.

If it was me, I'd tell the insurers, in case they found about it and then tried to say the insurance for the rest of you, for something else, was invalid - like when you die of heart attack and they refuse to pay out on your life insurance to your family because you forgot to tell them you'd once had a pimple on your nose (slight exageration I know).

If you don't need the insurance then telling them won't make any difference, and if you do need it they'd be bound to find out.
