Also, Eljay, if you are looking for some decent grub Loch Lomond way check out the Boat House at Cameron House.. been looking for someone to make that recommendation to, was there for mothers day food.

Last time I was at Cameron House was for a wedding. Very nice. Will try that out.
Kippen is lovely. Wish I still lived there to be honest

And when I was 7 our house burned down, and we all had a pretty traumatic time (none of us got burnt though), and I think that's why my Mum decided to take us all on a ski-ing holiday to Italy when I was 8 (even my Dad eventually came, although he wasn't at all keen on the idea). But I actually learned to ski on the dry slope at Alexandra Palace in North London, before we went. And I loved it right from the first moment.

I went again with the school when I was 11, and then not for 30 years until I went with my two girls.

You must have been rich. We went to Blackpool or Aberdeen for our holidays. They didn't ski there!
A very small place called Head of Muir. Don't think it'll even be on a map!!
Lived for many years in a Village called Kippen, which was near the Lake of Menteith............hence the reason I went curling there
