Hi Russco, I live in Plagne 1800 at the moment. There is only about 3/4 bars/restaurants in 1800. The main spot being 'La Mine' which gets quite lively, especially at this time of year. You would be paying 5.70 for half a litre and 5-6 euros for bottle beers. As I say there is only a couple of places to eat at 1800 but you should expect to pay anything from 8 - 15 euros for a main meal. Mamma Mia is a good pizza place at 1800 which is next to the Spar. However, you can obviously go up to Plagne centre aswell, free bus every 30 mins. There are plenty of places to eat up there!!
The best place to drink in Plagne is Scotty's bar. You get a pint for 3.60!! And is very lively with live music on most days. Anyway, if you wanna know anything else let me know!! ) |

The piste of Le Pas de Chavanette - called "Le Mur Suisse" (The Swiss Wall) by French skiers. Definitely this run - so scary - 7 people die a year! Much more exciting if it was my last run!!!
After very heavy snow falls, you have to negotiate drifts up to two metres high at the top!! LOVE IT! ) |

I'm actually a student at a Sixth form college and was looking to take a few of my mates skiing at half term as I can't take time off because we have A levels coming up.
I've found a holiday - EVERYTHING included ski pass, ski hire, flights, transfers, insurance, accommodation, B&B for £650 per person in Morganhof (spelling probs complete wrong), Austria. Pretty good isn't it??? :D |

If you are going out in the evening make sure you got up the main part of la plagne beacuse there are only a couple of bars in plagne 1800. Take the bus and then the cable car up. Buses run all the time! :)
