They've changed the forecast again for Courchevel, to 4 cm of snow on Monday, 3 cm Tuesday, and 1 cm Wednesday. Plus, they're still giving 3 cm today and 2 cm Saturday.

The shotgun threat seems to be working

It did snow in Courchevel yesterday :D

I read the Ski Club of GB's Leader's report for yesterday, and he said visibility was poor because it was snowing and he took the group down to La Tania and Le Praz in the shelter of the trees.

It doesn't seem to have snowed much, but at least it's a start :D

Sick of being cramped up and shunted from one place to the next on somebody else's schedule to somebody else's rules, and being patronised occasionally along the way. Door to door took 11 hours for us on the last holiday. An extra hour or two and I might just have lost the plot. Seriously thinking of driving next time.

Emma if you decide to go to France you could go on the direct train from London. It's much less stressful and there are lots of resorts within 1/2 or 3/4 hour of the French stations at the other end. It's only 6 1/2 hours from St Pancras to Moutiers.

Ian,
Would you please teach your wife or daughter how to use the video camera because I'd love to see a video of you ski-ing :D

Unfortunately I can't read the full BMJ text because I can't get my Athens to work - maybe someone else has access to it.

I am still hoping that someone has access to the British Medical Journal online and can tell me what they actually said!

I am wondering if the figures might possibly suggest something like helmets make little difference to the actual fatality rate but help a lot with the less serious head injuries.

Hi Emma,
I'm very impressed with the video, and the ski-ing. Your turns are much smoother and more confident looking than mine, and you manage to keep facing downhill which is something I still can't do - the only slight criticism is like Ian said I think you need to use your poles more. I find it helps the people behind me as well because they know when I'm about to turn.

Is Mr Evs the one in the red jacket? If so, I reckon his ski-ing is very good but he needs to bend his legs a bit more. There was someone in my group ski lesson with legs like his, and our instructor nicknamed him 'wooden legs' and none of us could ever remember his real name after that :D

Your legs bend very nicely

If I can persuade the friend that's going ski-ing with me to video me, I'll post one up of myself, so you can have a go criticizing me. Most people are to chicken to put up a video of themselves on here :D

And Niederau looks lovely - plenty of snow :D

There's something obscuring the webcams in Courchevel as well, but I can't be entirely sure it's snow. Here's hoping though :D

I'm not sure if anyone else has already posted a link to this:
