Daved, it's an old ski, with an all mountain profile, not really more off piste than any other. I think I'd save my money for now, and take a lesson in the soft stuff on your regular skis.

Luton...or I should say "London Luton" as it's formally known, is a horrible airport to fly from.

A helmet is only worthwhile if it fits, and has a CE approval stamp. Some of the cheaper models look cumbersome. Trying the lid on is a must.

Welcome to J2ski :D Engelberg has a Skier's Bus service running from the village centre out to the main base serving Titlis. It may be worth you contacting the Tourist Office before your commit to the rental, to check to see if you are on the route.
