Ally, you will be pleased to know that I have given yes Given two pairs of Sallos to a charity shop today ..... save the something or other

Excellent. Well done Ian :D

I think charity shops do a great job of recycling, plus the profit goes to some worthy cause or other. The £8 I paid for my Helly Hanson ski jacket went to a local hospice in Golders Green.

Billip1 - I reckon your friend was incredibly lucky to get ski boots that fitted in a charity shop! But over the years I have bought (and given) loads of stuff from/to charity shops :D

Where did they get these statistics from?

sounds like it...there's not much choice about

Yes, Igluski told me that because the snow has been so good this year loads of people want to get out there and experience it for themselves, and the bargains are flying off the shelves!

Tropicana,
I am a bit confused about this. Is it an offer of a return lift from GB or just one way from Geneva airport to Megeve?

Anyway, I hope you find someone :D

Dave,
I think that was the same offer I was looking at on Sunday, but it was from Manchester for 4 people. I wanted it from Gatwick for 2 people and consequently it went up from £277 to £384 p.p. as it was for a 4 bed apartment.

Hi Dave,
Yes, you're quite right. I forgot about the option of ski-ing in Courmayeur. And, funnily enough, I was considering La Thuile and Brides until I finally gave up trying to book myself another ski holiday this year. I could have got the Planibel apartments for £384 p.p. for 2 people for the week (with Igluski).

I hope you have a great time in Brides les Bains. Let us know exactly how long that gondola ride is and what time the gondola starts. I had thought it was 40 minutes from top to bottom, but other people have said it's only 20 minutes. I know it's 3 sections - Olympe 1, 2, and 3.

You read that in a book or online somewhere, didn't you? I know because thats EXACTLY what it says in WTSS.

Tony - I don't even KNOW what the WTSS is, or where to get one. I was just expressing my opinion. But it's nice to know that my thought are worthy of publication in whatever the WTSS is

You must have been very unlucky for the links from VT to be shut every day except one, when you were there. But I think the links from Meribel are more likely to be open because they're lower and you can go either way - to VT or Courchevel.
