Bus from Val d'Isere to Geneva?
Started by User in Ski Chatter, 3 Replies
You might be lucky and find a chalet company or TO who'd allow you on their transfer coach/minibus, although I expect Verbier_ski_bum is right and the bus is the best option.

I know these people do it for £40 one way from Tignes to Geneva (and vice versa) but they leave Tignes early evening and you'd have to get from Val d'Isere to Tignes:

Thanks Far Queue
I didn't know how to do the colours either :D

Yet another thing I have gained from this website :D

Here it is, yet another thing I have gained from J2Ski:

It's actually quite funny, and very sad of course when you remember how many people did die going 'over the top' including several members of my family.

There also seems to be a wibble site already, registered since 1998 - www.wibble.co.uk - named after the above video.

No wonder Tony didn't like it much when Admin offered him the Wibble King title

I hope Iceman doesn't mind

As for me - well at least the pants on my head will cover up my bald patches

I always wear leggings under my salopettes and I've never had this particular problem :D

What are you wearing for thermals?

If I want to quote anyone I just click on the quote button that's in the top right hand corner of their post. Then what they said comes up in a new message box and I can type what I want to underneath.

You can also delete some of what they said but you have to be careful to keep the bit in the square brackets or it doesn't work. Sometimes you have to put a bracket back because it only deletes in chunks, if you see what I mean.

And if you want to check you've done it right click on the preview button and it shows you what will come up. If it's fine then click on the submit but if there's a problem then you can sort it before you submit it.

I rather think it's me that owes you for the boots Snapzzz

I hope I'm not going to owe you for a family ski holiday in Courchevel 1650 as well

Snapzzz wrote:Thats exactly whee i want to stay, 1650 but it seems most of the TO's do not go there, just 1850 and 1550.
1650 appeals because of all the greens and that it is at the edge of the domain, making it quieter?
My only concern is that it will be New Year and we suspect the whole area will be rammed.

Snapzzz - skiolympic.co.uk have 2 suitable chalets in Courchevel 1650 and Pierre et Vacances have the apartment block Le Moriond. And we were in the 3 Valleys for the New Year and the only time it got crowded was the day after the big storm/avalanche when only the lower lifts were working - the rest of the time it was fine (and okay we were in Meribel that time but we did have a quick trip into Courchevel as well).

Dave - I was remembering that it took me and my friend, who is only a blue piste skier, well over an hour to get from 1650 to 1550 on skis, but only 5 minutes on the bus :D

And I think one of the reasons 1650 is generally quieter than 1850 is because, as Snapzzz says, it is on the border of things so that people coming over from Val Thorens, for example, don't usually reach it.
