Winter 2012-13 has been a record year for Les 2 Alpes. The resort had a total of 10.75m of snow at 2,600m, which is the biggest snowfall since 1982 when the resort started to record the winter snowfall.

AND it is still snowing at the moment!

The glacier, which is Europe's biggest skiable glacier, is opening on 22nd June. The snow conditions for this summer will be outstanding.

The glacier opens every day from 7.15am to 1.30pm, until 31st August. It attracts all type of skiers and boarders:

- Ski clubs come from all over Europe for slalom training

- Freestylers come the snowpark which has two half pipes, hips, quarters, modules, whoops, hand rails, bir airs. It includes a pro zone, and advanced zone and a fun zone.

Summer camps take place all summer.

- Visitors also come to Les 2 Alpes in the summer to learn to ski. The glacier slopes are gentle and easy, and the weather is much milder than in the winter. The specially adapted beginners' slope feature a green run served by a ski tow at 3,400m. Children can train for their star awards just as they do in the winter.

Ski pass (it also includes the MTB lift pass):

1-day: €36
6-day: €180

Les 2 Alpes is also very famous in the summer for downhill mountain biking. This year the season will start in action with the Opening Session on 22nd June.

The Opening Session celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Venosc run, a must-do descent among downhill enthusiasts. It is a fun – but challenging – competition: a timed mountain bike descent over Venosc trail.

The lifts are closed, the tourists long gone... and it's still snowing in La Clusaz...

Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports to retail at InTheSnow Live

InTheSnow Live, the new snowsports show taking place from 25-27 October 2013 at the NEC, has today announced that Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports will retail at the national show.

Ellis Brigham, who have 24 shops across the UK, will be a key retail partner at InTheSnow Live. As one of the UK's leading mountain specialists, they will have a large focus on ski boot fitting, with experts on hand to advise on choosing the most appropriate snowsports kit and equipment.

Mark Brigham, Marketing Director at Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports said: "We have chosen InTheSnow Live as the only snowsports show outside of London at which Ellis Brigham will retail. The NEC ski show has an established footfall of spending consumers that have come to the show over the past 20 years, and with new owners the show is set to be bigger, better and with more attractions. We view the NEC show as strategically important to our retail business and the InTheSnow Live team clearly understand what the consumer and the trade want from a show. In the past, this show has delivered queues of people waiting to be served at our stand and we are confident that under the new ownership that this audience is only set to increase."

Dominic Killinger, Managing Director of InTheSnow Live said: "We have sold close to 50% of the space taken at last year's show already, and we are delighted that Ellis Brigham has chosen InTheSnow Live as their favoured ski show outside of London to retail from. This will provide show visitors with the biggest range of snowsports equipment to choose from as well as ski and snowboard experts that our visitors can consult with. Our absolute focus is to deliver an exciting show with great features, to drive a large, spending footfall and therefore provide exhibitors with a great return on their investment. Having such a well-established and significant retailer at InTheSnow Live will undoubtedly complement our interactive features and the other exhibitors."

Confirmed features for InTheSnow Live include a two storey après ski bar, a winter wonderland with Father Christmas, the snowsports fashion show, a talk theatre, the 'fit to ski' feature, a custom boot clinic and a live feed on the show's big screens of the first World Cup ski race of the season, with commentary from BBC Ski Sunday's Graham Bell.

Visitors can also get stuck into some mountain food at the Alpine Kitchen and there is a huge £50,000 cash prize to be won at the show, allowing the lucky winner to take a ski holiday for life.
