Will we have a separate rotas, one for skiing & one for drinking :D

Hi Brooksy,
If there's any drinking going on my job is usually to be the sensible one, and look after everyone else when they've had a bit too much

Edit
Now we're on a new page again I'd just like to remind everyone that we still have places on this holiday - details on the first page. If you're interested in coming would you please send me a pm or post on this thread.
Thanks,

Ally

Hi Dave,
I have booked my flight back from Geneva to Gatwick with EasyJet on Sunday 20th January.

I want to ski all day first so I've booked the last flight back, which is leaving at 21-30 and arriving at 22-00 (which looks a little odd I know but it's because Switzerland is an hour ahead of us).

This flight cost me £47 including luggage. I've just checked now on the EasyJet website and it's gone up to £52. And when I first looked at it (when EasyJet released their flights a couple of weeks ago) it was only £40. So their prices are going up - presumably as they sell out of the cheaper tickets.

They have 8 flights from Geneva to Gatwick that day.

Your son could get the transfer bus the chalet is running, for £30 each way, or if he wants to ski/board for the extra day and there are enough of us who want to do this we could hire our own transport (Cat wants to ski the extra day as well).

And if he wants to keep his options open and doesn't have to be back in London early on Sunday he could book the last flight the same as me, and then if he decides to get the morning chalet coach he could spend the afternoon looking around Geneva or something (we did that once and it was great - the train station is in the airport and it's really easy to get into the city).

I looked at return flights with Swiss from London Heathrow a couple of weeks ago as well, and they were £110 return. I've just checked them again and they're now £155 return. So prices do seem to be on the up.

And, for some bizarre reason, when I looked at a single from Geneva to London with Swiss it was about £700!

Hi Snapzzz,
Nice to see you back :D
As I said before, I am very easy-going, so I don't fall out with people :D

However, when I'm ski-ing I do fall OVER quite a bit - are we going to have a falling over rota as well?

Wow, really Billip? I thought I would be the last to go.

We're staying in Les Boisses. I will let you know if there's any snow left when I'm there.

Icy,
As far as I know anyone is allowed to contribute to this thread. Brooksy's problem is solved but the rest of us still have to work out how to get to the chalet and back again.

I forgot to say that when I phoned Bonjour they said they have 4 tables in the dining room, which means that different groups don't have to sit together. So we should have at least one table to ourselves, even if we don't manage to fill the chalet :D

And now we're on a new page I'd like to repeat the information that we still have places for this holiday. If anyone is interested in coming with us would they please either post on here or send me a pm.
I have booked my own flight back from Geneva to Gatwick late on Sunday evening (20th January). It cost me £47 including the baggage charge.

I intend to take the direct day Eurostar train out to Bourg-St-Maurice from London St Pancras on Saturday 12th January, stay in a hotel overnight in Bourg and then travel out to Les Brevieres by bus on Sunday morning. I will then leave my luggage in the chalet and ski all Sunday.

I won't be able to buy my Eurostar ticket until they come on sale, which I should think will be towards the end of July.

This way I will get 8 days ski-ing.

I don't know yet how I will get from Les Brevieres to Geneva on Sunday 20th, after ski-ing, but I will think of something.

This is one of the nice things about DIY holidays - they are very flexible :D
