So glad you're not going the on-line route :-) . Make sure you do Swingbeep's shell test with each pair you try and be prepared to leave the shop without buying if you are not 100% happy with the fit. Spending £50 to hire a pair in resort is a better result than being lumbered with a badly fitting pair.

I'm surprised nobody has replied to this one. It must have sneaked past as I was getting ready for my SkiWelt trip and then dropped off the front pages before I got back.
I haven't skied on either personally. I see that they both get great reviews. I had hoped to demo the Preachers in Tignes in December, but every man and his dog had the same idea and I never got the chance. I suppose that is a recommendation in itself! I only heard positive comments from the people who did try them. Quite a few people were seriously talking about buying them and quite a few more had already done so. I don't think you'd go far wrong with either of them. Sorry not to have been of more assistance. |

Bit obscure this one. Mrs Gaz went to Serre Chevalier with a friend, while I looked after her children may I add  , and spent the week skiing with a group which included Carl Green (Herman's Hermits). Who? -)
Probably doesn't count as a 'celeb'. Don't think they had 'been invented' when the Hermits were in their heyday. :-) |

OK. Here goes.
Scheffau/Skiwelt: Large beer; 4€ or 5€ on the mountain. 3.4€ in the village pub. Wine; don't know. Don't touch the stuff on skiing holidays. Coffee; €2 Coca cola; snot of Satan  . Don't get me started!!! |
