Icy - I think you've forgotten to add in the transfer prices (for the Mountain Sun chalet in Tignes). I got £629 + (£28X2) + £100 = £785 The 13th January 2013 holiday to Tignes is £399 for the chalet, £60 for chalet transfers, £100 approx for flights = £559 6 day Espace Killy Lift passes approx = £200 Final total = £759 (Unless you have to hire skis and boots, costing around another £100). And as for the £200 single supplement, well you'll just have to find someone you can share with :D |

No they don't Andy - you're quite right - I forgot to point that out. Oh dear, sorry everyone
Maybe being a travel agent isn't quite as easy as I thought! Mountain Sun include free transfers with their short breaks but not with their week long stays. Transfers are an extra £28 each way, and I suppose flights would be an extra £100 or so. That does make it quite expensive, for the standard of accommodation  |

Ian,
Don't worry, we haven't actually picked a chalet yet. I put those prices up just because I found them easily (I hate it when you have to phone for prices), to show how the price varies with the date. But thank you very much for saying they look too expensive (I totally agree with you!). Ian, if we could find a date, resort, and budget to suit you, would you be interested in coming? Here are some more dates and prices for 2012, for the budget Mountain Sun Chalet Melezes in Tignes les Boisses (where I was just over a week ago) http://www.mountainsunltd.com/chalet/chalet-hotel-les-melezes/page/view/accommodation This is definitely NOT a 'posh' chalet, but I found it okay. These prices do include 6 day lift passes for Tignes and Val d'Isere: 18 Dec 11 Sun £709 8 night stay 26 Dec 11 Mon £729 02 Jan 12 Mon £469 08 Jan 12 Sun £529 15 Jan 12 Sun £549 22 Jan 12 Sun £589 29 Jan 12 Sun £619 05 Feb 12 Sun £629 12 Feb 12 Sun £759 19 Feb 12 Sun £639 26 Feb 12 Sun £639 04 Mar 12 Sun £639 11 Mar 12 Sun £639 18 Mar 12 Sun £619 25 Mar 12 Sun £619 |

Oh dear, poor Icy
How about, if I give you a special money box that your ex can't get into  |
|
|
You can start saving now Icy, there's plenty of time :D
I'll buy you a special money box if you like  OldBoarder - I don't know anything about Les Deux Alpes, other than what I can read up on it - like this, from the Ski club of GB: Loads of challenging off-piste, a world-class terrain park and complimentary 'Free Respect' avalanche-awareness courses. The young, predominantly Brit party element won't appeal to everyone. Large glacier suits all skiing abilities and is snow-secure throughout the season. Lift queues (going up and coming down) can be endless, particularly at weekends. Lack of trees for bad-light days. . Have you been there? And if so, what did you think? |

Oh dear Icy - are you sure you can't change to the beginning of February?
|
|
|
Thanks Snapzzz, that's exactly the sort of thing I wanted to hear :D
Anyone else got any preference for dates? Edit Sorry - new page - this is what Snapzzz said: looking at those dates/prices i would say the last cheep week in Jan/early Feb would be most suitable for me. That would give me a early season hol and a late season hol with the family with J2 mid way between. |

Old Andy - you beat me to it :D
That's exactly what I was looking at  |
