Just received an email from Crystal stating that we will have to pay a tourist tax of between 0.75 to 3.00 Euros per person per night , direct to the hotelier dependent on the star rating of the hotel. Is this usual for Italy? What more do they want! Already paying full whack for all inclusive at Feb half term. Could do without a possible further 72 Euros.

I bought one of those ski walkers at the Ski and board show. I hate carrying my skis, I get all hot and flustered so anything that makes it easier is fine by me. Will let you know how successful in about 90 days :D

I have been informed that under 18's are now legally required to wear helmets in the Piedmonte region.Is this correct? Thanks

I had a reply from Crystal stating that in the Piedmonte region of Italy, under 18 's are required to wear helmets. Apparently this law was introduced last winter however my son skied with his school in April this year and only under 14's were legally required to wear them. Don't know whether to buy one or hire when we get there.

I bought a helmet at the ski show yesterday after banging my bonce last year. I haven't worn one before but my daughter swears by hers. No more goggle fluff from sticking my goggles on my bobble. Can anyone enlighten me.....I thought I saw some where that under 18's now have to wear helmets in Italy.
