Hi, what were your favourite moments of the winter Olympics?
I really enjoyed these winter Olympics, but the best thing in it was the ice hockey final & the biathlon event, which combines both skiing and shooting into one sport.
However I think the most deserved medal was that of Joannie Rochette. The Canadian's bronze medal was one of the most emotional of the Games after she fought back the tears and heartache to compete just two days after the death of her mother, who had just arrived in Vancouver to cheer her on.
The 24-year-old ranked third after the short programme and held on - willed by an entire nation would be more apt - to claim bronze following the free skate. She then carried the Canadian flag into the closing ceremony.
A real achievement in anyone's book. So what was your favourite Olympic moment? )

to be totally honest I wasnt impressed-the ski racing was average at best-courses were too flat and the weather was horrific-why choose a resort to host the olympics that is known for having lots of wet, soft snow?!!
doesnt help that here in italy all i bloody saw was the biathalon events-missed the skier cross, aerials and ice hockey
:-(

It took some real guts to go out there following the loss of her mum. For me, ice skating is not a sport. We don't put ballroom dancing in the summer games so why do we have ice dancing?
Event I enjoyed the most has to be the men's skier cross. Most pleased about Bode Millar burying his Turin demons and as a Brit, Amy Williams winning gold.

I loved watching the Olympics, like most of the population for me the ski cross really stood out, but so did the boarder cross which wasn't mentioned so much. Parallel slalom on snow boards was fun and Shaun White was just amazing on the half pipe. The skiing was let down by the conditions. It has made me think twice about when to go out to Whistler, though each night watching the overhead shots of the resort I kept pointing out the pistes between all the trees, there are never many trees where I ski in France.
On Sunday night I watched my first complete game of ice hockey - and wished I'd watched more, it was really exciting and I'll remember to tune in sooner next time.
I thought it was a great games and am happy for Canada in what they managed to host, sometimes under difficult circumstances. It was great to see the Canadians fully backing their country by the end.

Watching Jackobellis fail to win in the boarder cross AGAIN was brilliant.
I was pleased for Miller he won something, hes such a brave skier.
The brit on the skeleton should be awarded an OBE as any Brit winning a winter olympic medal is a massive achievement in its own right.
I loved the ski cross.
I was also delighted Canada beat the yanks in the ice hockey.
Apart from that, I didnt watch too much of it, except the skiing events. The weather was crap and the courses they made were stupid to be honest. I have no idea why they chose somewhere with the potential for the weather to be such a problem, but I guess some greenhead will be along to tell us its all down to global warming.
I will be having my own olympics next week - how many pistes can I cover in Serre Che in 6 days.

I like Julia Mancuso! Much more shapely than 'fatty' (what the Austrian press called her!) Vonn!
There's a big gap in my television viewing in the evenings, even though we had to endure the two worst sports presenters on the TV: Balding and Barker.
Enjoyed the speed skating and the short track - lots of crashes - and the ski cross was fun.
Best moment: Anja Paerson winning a combined medal after smashing herself into the middle of next week in the downhill.
Worst: the British men's and women's curling teams cracking under pressure right at the death.
Worries about Whistler's weather confirmed. Someone I know had two weeks of rain there - and it looked damp and dreary on more than one occasion.
