Tony your best bet is a haberdashery (is this how it's spelt) you will be able to get green buttons of similar size from them, if not the same ones. Buy the buttons and replace them all. Good luck...

I am wondering if buttons used on ski wear would be different to ordinary buttons - ie having to withstand colder temperatures?

I had a similar chore once with some of my fav shorts.
it the end i had to remove every button and replace them all for a complete new set that were 'similar'. Not ideal but better than having odd buttons.
Best of luck.
