Selective memory is great. I can't ever remember being like this as a learner )

Always makes me laugh watching this. Where are they all now?

The youtube clip is all you need really. I've got the whole programme and to be honest some of it is a bit boring (particularly the church scene...yawn)

weell done Tony you can now embed a Youtube video!

Youre right, a lot of the programme was dull, but there are some absolute classic moments. Kevin is a genius, should have had his own tv show.

I thought the apres ski was awful, so corny and false. Did we really all that ridiculous back then?

What it does make you appreciate, is how much easier it is to prepare for a first ski trip now (mentally, as well as practically). The only images poor Kevin would have seen before, would have been watching ski racing on the box. You can imagine him trying on that orange speed suit at home, and imagining himself flying done the slopes. The undignified reality must have been a painful revelation, and the irony of that conspicuous speed suit making it much worse. It's easy to see why snowboarding took off.

In these days of you tube, and sites like j2ski, people can have a very accurate idea of what to expect.
