i cetainly got away with it , the lovely lady even stuck a 'heavy' sticker on each bag...and she checked us into the seats with extra leg room...must have been my winning smile!!

to be fair though some of the other lads were underweight on the baggage front an i would have been prepared to argue my case that they people before and after in the queue were rather large and presumably weighed a hell of a lot more than my excess...but thats another debate

Thanks everyone for your comments - Mrs Dean has managed to get down to 2 Kgs overweight. So all the electrical items are going in my ski jacket pockets!

Thats the way to do it! My hand luggage usually has Mrs H's hairdryer and straighteners in.

If it was me I'd just be happy I still had any hair left to use straighteners/hairbrush/hair dryers on :wink:
