I've just bought myself a go pro - i have the helmet accessories but I have heard that its best to put on the side of your helmet or use an extension arm, that the helmet mount sucks for technique analysis to use a chest strap and then I just read a post about attaching it to your ski pole. Anyone have any advice?

I quite like the results from the chest harness. The pole mount also gives a very interesting result but I wouldn't want to spend too much time waving a pole around whilst trying to ski.
There are loads of vids on youtube providing various viewpoints - snapzzz has uploaded a few, I've uploaded one from the chest harness perspective.

Not got one myself, but looking at some of the videos that have been posted the best result for 'audience viewing' seems to be when the camera position is varied around a bit. It's good to get different perspectives.
if I'm not skiing then I'm kayaking.

My hubby has just bought one of those retractable walking sticks to attach his.
His excuse - lightweight & easy to pack
Apparently I can then use it when I get old and infirm.
Me thinks he will be skiing on his own this holiday!
