Intersport pay before you arrive internet deals?

It's been so long since I've hired any gear that I'm not too sure about this one. I'm new to the forum so sorry if this has been asked before.

There will be some in our party who need to rent skis etc, we didn't take Cyrstals hire package thinking we'd get a better deal direct. Those who need gear will be renting it from the Intersport as it's the only place in resort.

Online they are offering half price savings if you book online, the question is are these genuine and should we take them or stick to the plan and pay in store? The online prices were 60-80 euro for skis and boots for beginner and intermediate level.

I have used www.alpinresorts.com for the last 2 or 3 years... never had any problems

We nearly always use Intersport (in various different resorts) and so far they've been very good. A 50% discount is an amazing deal! We've never had more than a 40% discount. We pay a deposit when we book (something like 10%) and the rest when we're in the shop hiring the stuff.

We pay a bit extra now for the better quality stuff, but it's probably not worth it for beginners.

Some of our group always use Intersport when they go - usually paying 10% then balance on collection, but they got quite a good extra discount if the paid in full at time of booking this year so went with it.

Think i got 20 - 30% off my groups hire of gear this year saving us about £140 overall...

Thanks for all the replies this is really helpful. Any ideas on when they generally stay open to? Our flight was changed so we'll not arrive in resort until 8pm ish (all being well and no delays etc).
