La Massana

Anyone got any info about La Massana in Andorra? going there in Feb,whats snow been like previously, runs etc.

We went to La Massana a couple of seasons ago (the one with not much snow :().
The Gondola takes you up to the slopes at Pal and is quicker and more civilised than the bus in from Pal village. Due to lack of snow the were few slopes open for beginners and very early intermediates and the link to Arinsal was closed. However we still had a good time - my other half and the kids had an excellent instructor (big bald guy called Manel)who spoke very good English and managed his class of very mixed abilities and ages very well. My Instructor was also good though his English was not quite as good and we were able to get further afield onto Red slopes which were less busy.

I expect in a normal season there will be more people about but more spread out so it will feel less busy.

Left skis etc at lockers by Pal slopes.

Ski Hire shop in La Massana was good (and quiet).

Not much Apres but then we didn't need it - tho' we did go to Irish Bar at Magic Hotel a few times.

My biggest criticism was the food on the mountain - all fast-food and very greasy.

Anything specific you want to know?

thanks for the info. We need to get from Toulose Airport to La Massana, any one got any tips on the cheapest way to go? (8 of us)
