i tried to get the time off work but someone has booked time off to go to filey for a couple of days an wasnt prepared to change....gutted!!

£99 FOR A WEEK!!!!

Thats an absolute steal. wish i didn't have a life.

I don't see how it makes any sense, selling it for £99, even ignoring the price of the flights because presumably they can't get that money back. I mean, I'd have thought it would cost nearly £99 to feed etc. a person for a week in a chalet. Maybe they make a big profit in the bar or something?

The only real cost they need to recoup is any flights already in their block allocation - as you say Ally.

After this it is pretty much already paid for. The transfer bus is already running, all hotel bits and bobs and staff already in place - and the cost of food will be neglible unless there are a significant number of extra guests on the give away price.

Don't fill the place - loose money on flight.
Fill the place - earn £25!

Plus you never know someone may go and have such a great time that they become return customers.

You're thinking as if this was THE price for this holiday. You'll find its one last room, or the last 2 seats on the flight. They will have bought X number of seats on flights and rooms in the hotel that by this stage of the season they are in profit and therefore they would rather fill everything up for peanuts than have something go unused. It means a bargain for whoever gets it though.

I once got a week in Sauze half board for £129, flights and transfers included, and 2 weeks in Santorini for £140. Its not what you expect but every so often they throw something mad like this out just to get rid of it.

Hope someone has a great time on this brilliant deal. Even if the hotel is like Colditz.
