Hi

Just wondered what the advice was with regard to insurance on a week long skiing holiday. Any companies to avoid? Reccommended ones? How much should we be looking to pay? Group policies available?

Cheers

Most people get free travel insurance with their bank account these days, which includes free winter sports extension. I am with Natwest and the cover is as good as I need in terms of travel delays, repatriation after illness or injury, etc. Obviously it does not cover off piste, in which case if you break your leg just slide on your bum back to the piste to get rescued )

If you don't have this free cover with your bank, maybe you should shop around for a different account, as it can save you a lot of money if you travel regularly.

There is a long thread somewhere on the forum about it looking at search & rescue etc. Do a search in the box for Insurance and it should come up ;)
