Taking care of my new ski boots!!

Having bought my first ski boots I am wondering how best to look after them??

The first time I used them I took the liner out to dry them but it was an absolute nightmare to get them back in.

Am I best getting a ski boot dryer?

Any other tips for keeping my boots in tip top condition?

When you use ski boots in a mountain/cold climate, they pretty much dry out overnight in a warm place by themselves because the humidity is so low. If you have sweaty feet, some air flow will help. If you are using them at a snowdome/dry slope, You might need a boot dryer (without heat) because of the greater humidity in most of the UK. In my experience a typical warm air duct does not damage boots or liners, but anything hotter may not be good. Avoid boot heater/dryers if you have custom foot beds or heat moldable liners.

Often the problem getting liners in or out of the shell is caused by seams on the heel of the liner, or sharp edges inside the boot cuff. Some duct tape will solve the problem. Apply to liner heel, inside the cuff. or both.
