We had some great skiing but you have to know where to go. The main Morzine/Pleney/Nyon/Les Gets area is pretty ropy with lots of ice and frankly isn't worth trying. The best areas are the Fornet bowl/Linga sector and over into Switzerland: we had some great skiing in Les Crosets/Champoussin/Morgins, particularly later in the morning as the snow softened up. <br /> <br /> All areas are prone to icy patches so care is needed, even on wide motorways because the snow conditions can change very suddenly.
