Morzine/Avoriaz

I've just come back from a few days in Morzine. We had some great skiing but you have to know where to go. The main Morzine/Pleney/Nyon/Les Gets area is pretty ropy with lots of ice and frankly isn't worth trying. The best areas are the Fornet bowl/Linga sector and over into Switzerland: we had some great skiing in Les Crosets/Champoussin/Morgins, particularly later in the morning as the snow softened up.

All areas are prone to icy patches so care is needed, even on wide motorways because the snow conditions can change very suddenly. More snow is desperately needed, especially with half-term coming up.
