Which grade ski to hire???

I'm off to Andorra Thursday but not sure if its worth paying a bit extra for a higher grade ski.
Last year i hired the basic(Bronze/Green) ski but i was snowploughing most of the time.In Borovets this year i was just starting to do Parallel turns etc.

Dont want to pay the extra if its not goning to make much difference to a novice like me

In all honesty I would stick to the bronze ski's. Just because intermediate ski's are usually much quicker and allows you to perform tighter turns meaning you have parallel turns down before using them. Not to worry though, bit more practice and you could always upgrade your skis on the last few days.

I'd stick to the bronze and keep your extra money. I hired the lowest package skis for my first 3 holidays, then the middle package on my last. Although my skiing improved a lot on my last hol I genuinely don't think that much, if any of it, was down to the skis. It was more to do with better confidence. I think I'm still on such a learning curve that the extra experience gained with each holiday far outweighs any difference the skis themselves can make. Depending how much you save by opting for the bronze package, you could consider using that money for a one hour private lesson instead.

We did the same as Emma and hired the cheapest skis and boots for the first 4 ski holidays and then moved up to the more expensive ones, and this seemed to suit us fine.

I imagine the more expensive ones are just because they're newer and the cheaper ones are old stock but I don't really know. I mean, they usually seem to offer beginner, intermediate and advanced level skis and boots at 3 different price brands.

Yeah, like others said i would stick with the bronze ski. . .its still early days as far as trying to ski faster. As an intermediate skier i prefer to stick with beginner skis as on the downhill steeper slopes you are going to pick up some serious speed, which is not always what you want when still learning. !!! Enjoy !!

I think i'll stick the Basic/bronze ski...It looks like the next grade ski's up are just newer.

Get the cheaper ski's, generally they are just a little older than the silver/gold.
Put the money aside and buy your own boots.
