lessons or no lesson

:D we are traveling to seefeld Austria 29th Jan.

We have never been there before should we have ski lessons or not

problem being the lessons are 2 x hours am 2 hour lunch then 2 x hours pm

we are taking my one year old son so dont want to be tied like that all day any suggetions please x

Hayleysean you didnt mention your current ability. If your a beginer then yes id say you need lessons however if your advanced or above then you make the judgement.

Its always worth having lessons even if its only the AM lessons. this way you have the rest of the day to do what you like.

I am impressed that you are taking your one year old! How did you perceive that you would look after him, and manage lessons? You could discuss with the ski school as to the best solution. You can do that beforehand, just phone them up.

only been abroad once but skied in indoor centres a few times when i skied abroad i was given an intermidiate certifiacte if that helps

you need a nanny.... available in all resorts ...google it... no way you will have a holiday or ski happily otherwise

Hi. Maybe you could just do the morning lessons. I had the option of all day lessons - 2 hours in the morning and same in the afternoon or just 2 hours in the morning. I chose just the morning as I like to practice what I have been taught in the afternoon so maybe that would be an option for you. Ria x

As you know yourself then skiing indoor is completely different to skiing on a mountain. Id class my ability as advanced intermediate and i have roughly 10 weeks experience. If you have only been once id say your probably edging more towards the beginner level. However i have never seen you ski and im no pro so pls dont take this advice to heart.

If i was you id have at AM lessons and then see how you go from there. Or Like Dave Mac says spk to ski school and ask them for the bbest advice.

Whatever you choose, have a ball and i hope the little 1 enjoys it as much as you guys do, after all that could be the start to many great hols. :wink:

child care already sorted my parents are coming with us to look after the lil man thats why we are going to austria as my parents love it and there are things for them to do there. so there maybe be days where they go off for the day but other days they may be around so would like to have playtime in the snow. did think about private lessons when we get there even it was for a day just to have some guidance of the runs but prob is my husband and i wouldnt be able to do it together as he boards and i ski lol :lol: :lol:
