Try Aldi, they had ski clothing & helmets in there stores
about three weeks ago. Unsure how much they cost but normally there products are reasonably priced.
I'd ring Aldi before making a journey as most of their winter wear sell out very quickly

Re:Where is the cheapest place in UK to buy ski crash helmets. . ?

You will probably find good deals online but I don't think this is a good idea with helmets.

When I bought mine, I had to try about 10 different shops before I found a comfortable fit (I bought in a ski-resort).

Sizes and shapes seem to vary considerably from brand to brand. Unfortunately, this can be a bit of a hassle and can result in you paying a littel extra for a helmet but if it doesn't fit right, it will drive you mad and you will probably stop wearing it!

I would totally agree with this post. I spent a lovely half hour or so in a specialist ski shop at the dry slope trying on helmets, before I found one that fitted perfectly (and only cost GBP35). Just make sure you bring your goggles as well to ensure they are compatible.

Ally

Surely the whole point is to protect your head and therefore a good quality and fit are important otherwise you may as well not bother.

Totally agree with Ally on the goggles front. So important they fit well & you avoid the awful gap that can expose your forehead.

Ally Apparently the one you bought is only suitable for people being fired out of a cannon & not for skiing, that's why it was cheap you only use it once.

Have a look @ swimbabes.co.uk. They have a section for snow wear & do kids helmets for under GBP20.

Alternatively if you have a decathalon shop near you, their helmets are quite reasonable.
