Brides les bains info needed

Hi All,

I have booked a cheap deal to goto the 3 valleys staying in BLB on the 26th march. Im wanting to know is it possible to ski back to the resort? I have looked at the map and it looks like there is a run thats goes almost all the way however im wondering if there will be enough snow at the end of march.

Clearly it depends on snow fall etc but i was wondering has anyone stayed in this resort this late in the season and if so what were the conditions like lower down. ie lower than meribel?

thanks

It is unlikely. I have been there in early March, and in January, and neither time was the snow complete even to halfway down the Gondola. Hopefully, you will be lucky.
It is a pleasant town, but the Gondela up is a 30 minute ride, just to get to the Meribel base area.

Thanks Dave and so i hear..... Im not too bothered about that tbh, it will be my 2nd trip and as a result needed to be cheap, so a small price to pay i think for an extra weeks ski :D

Looks like it will be the first lift up and last down each day then... Oh well.

Thanks for the info. )

Hi Crispieapplepie
In the 5 seasons I worked in Meribel, you could maybe ski down to Brides for about 2 weeks of the season. You may be lucky but it is 'coarse skiing' getting down to Brides!
