The postie brought my lift pass!

Due to the snow, we haven't had a postal delivery for over a week. Today, an avalanche of mail hit the porch floor. Among the dross was an envelope post-marked Kitzbuhel. It's our Kitzbuhel AllStar season passes. They cover from Zell am zee, Saalbach/Hinterglemm, Hochfilzen, Fieberbrunn, Schneewinkel area, Kitzbuhel, Pass Thurn, SkiWelt, Wildschonau, and Alpbachtal.
Tried to persuade the OH for an Easyjet flight tomorrow, but she wants to wait the 19 days!

This takes you from the top of the Marbachjoch to Oberau. It is as pleasant a run as you will get, reminiscent of the Klosters to Davos Standart abfahrt. Insurance? errm.. well we are talking helicopter....

Re:The postie brought my lift pass!

If you are going for 6 days, buy either from your rep, (normally on the transfer bus), or at the lift office. Buying from the rep usually means that your pass will be delivered to your hotel, and you avoid lift office queues.

Re:The postie brought my lift pass!

There is also a Tirol snow card with a lot of resorts included, at a similar price. There is the Sunny Card for some resorts around Innsbruck, starts at Euro300. There must be others.

The Tirol Regio card and Tirol Freizeit Card are only available to people who are registered as resident. They include summer use & swimming baths as well as selections of ski resorts.

Each card has a different mix of resorts in roughly the same region, with some overlaps, which makes it complicated to choose one. Most of them are discounted if bought in October.

Re:The postie brought my lift pass!

I did consider the Tirol Pass, and I contacted them. They di not offer a pre-season discount, and thus would have cost us over 100 Eu each extra. Maybe next year. - )
