Hi everyone. Been a long time lurker as I had problems getting registered but hey I finally managed it. Going to Zell am See on 22 January and can't wait. Was there 2 years ago at New Year time and loved it. Hubby hates skiing (he's a golf fanatic) so I am looking forward to chatting with like-minded snow addicts. :)

Hi Zell, welcome to J2ski. Our second week will be the week before you, in Hinterglemm. We will be hooking up with other J2s in Zell. So when you arrive, we will already have pushed off past Kitzbuhel to our next location. Have a good time!

Thanks for the welcome Scapula and Dave Mac. I will look forward to your reports Dave of snow conditions etc., if you are in the area the week before me. Last time we had good conditions although a little icy at the start of the week (which puts the fear of God in me) but beautiful sunshine all week. Hope we get more of the same but with a little more snow. x

Zell, if it is a bit icy, ask the locals who does the best ski service, in particular edge sharpening. Then take your skis in and get them sharpened. Smile nicely, and say you heard from XXX that they did the best edge sharpen in Zell. Their vanity will do the rest. Then ski smoothly!

Have a great time in Zell am See. We went there and loved it. My husband doesn't ski either. We leave him behind to get on with all the work whilst we're on holiday :D

Thanks for the welcome AllyG. I like the idea of my husband working hard at home while I am off enjoying myself too. :)

Dolosit Zell has quite lively town centre with several bars and restaurants. Crazy Daisy was a good night out and we had an excellent meal at the Kupferkessel (we call it the Copper Kettle). Sorry I am struggling to remember the names of other places we went to.

Its lovely to be welcomed by so many people - looking forward to lots of ski chat. Snowb4ndit I have been reading through the threads and I believe you are living the dream and have got a job in a ski resort. It must be a very exciting time for you.
