<description> Yes, I heard Raine interviewed on Radio 3 a while back talking about his new book of poems. He was imagining himself sinking, helpless, into the deep, yielding snow as his children watched, unable to pull him out.</description>

<title>Re:Craig Raine</title>
<description> Having written some ski songs, I felt some empathy with the man. Trying to write about skiing, and it's emotive qualities, without it sounding like a bunch of pans clattering together is a bit tricky. He is a long time skier, so has been through the experiences.</description>
