back on the slopes :)

:D :D :D It feels so good to be back up. After a short day of rock skiing at Crystal Mountain http://www.skicrystal.com/ on the the 21st, spent a full day on much better snow yesterday at White Pass http://skiwhitepass.com/. The steeps were still closed but we had a LOT of powder everywhere. It has been so cold that they can't groom normally, it hasn't warmed up to melt the top layer and create a base to groom, but I wasn't complaining at all, other than I should have brought my powder boards, thought I was going to be stuck on groomers all day.

Been skiing with an old friend I bumped into last season who is one of the best skiers I have ever seen (in style and form anyway) My other friends agree that it is like a work of art watching him ski. He has been giving me some pointers that have really helped. I can't wait to get back up, work on his pointers and trying them out when all the steeps open up. It is supposed to snow about 2 feet over the next week, Saturday should be great :D

I had some great conditions (firm groomers for me) this weekend, for my first days out. Boy, am I moving slowly today. This is the least fit I have ever been going into a winter season.
