Where to go for Xmas?

Bald-eagleman needs help. Many people have said that before but now it is really true. My OH has decided that I should not go skiing by myself this year so I have to plan a joint trip. Truly beloved is not an avid skier….firstly 'cause skis don't have brakes and secondly her idea of a mountain holiday is walking and reading and finishing in a swimming pool. SO….I need to find somewhere at Xmas that is snowsure, has a good number of easy runs that can get her back to the hotel solo, a place with a pool/sauna/streamroom etc but is not so expensive as to break the bank. My list so far is 3 long…Alpe d'Huez, Serre Che and Selva (I really want to ski the Sella Ronda). And Oh….the group may expand from 2 to up to 15'ish. Any other suggestions would be welcome.

Obergurgl comes to mind. High and snowsure. Plenty of hotels with spa facilities. <br /> Anywhere that has a gondola, where she can take the lift down as an option.
